Our Crowdfunding Groups
The Friday after-school program is designed to teach children new skills as well as to reinforce already-learned skills through fun activities. We need to crowdfund to purchase teaching materials, chairs, tables, boards, and to provide snacks for the kids. It’s perfect for children between the ages of 3 and 11, either beginners or those who have a degree of familiarity with the French language, as well as those who are learning French through other venues. The sessions will always start with a story, all in French!
Nazareth students are the main teachers - across disciplines and majors. The program will run this Spring as well and the funds will also help turn it into an internship program for two of our students! We have 34 students enrolled (22 families!) this fall, and the funds would also help give a discount to Naz families (current students, staff, faculty and alumni)!
Your gift can help:
- Sponsor an underprivileged kid to get a discount to attend the after-school program next semester.
- Keep cost low for Nazareth affiliated faculty, staff, and current students
- Purchase learning materials and snacks
- Provide the opportunity to current Nazareth students to do a credit bearing internship for the program
- Hire native French speakers on our teaching team
- Hire early childhood and childhood education current Naz students
- Contribute to the perpetuation of the love and life of the French language and Francophone cultures at Nazareth-and in the greater Rochester area through our after-school program.
